He graduated from the Stage Design Dept of Shanghai Drama Academy in 1960, where he is a professor now. He is the Standing Director of China Oil Painting Society and Shanghai Artists Association, the Art Committee Member of Chinese Artists Association, the President of Shanghai Oil Painting Society. Awards: The Excellent Award in “The 8th National Fine Art Exhibition” and “China Oil Painting Biennial” in 1993. Main Exhibitions: “The 1st Oil Painting Exhibition”, Shanghai, 1987; Singapore International Art Expo, 1992; “Chinese Contemporary Fine Art Exhibition”, Germany, 1997; “The 9th National Fine Arts Exhibition”; “Express and Write” Exhibition, Shanghai, 2003, etc.
